Arthur L. Frank MD ,PhD is a Professor of Public Health and a Professor of Medicine at Drexel University in Philadelphia in the USA. He is trained in both occupational medicine and internal medicine and his PhD studied the effects of asbestos on respiratory tissue. He has been studying the biological and medical aspects of asbestos exposure for some 50 years and has about 100 peer reviewed publications related to asbestos. Dr. Frank has been engaged for 40 years in medical-legal activities regarding asbestos mostly related to personal injury matters but also building related and insurance litigation as well as criminal actions related to asbestos. All funds derived have gone to the universities where he has worked and helped support three departments of which he has been Chair. He has been a speaker on the subject of asbestos in many international settings. He is a member of the Collegium Ramazzini which has recognized him for his international efforts regarding asbestos.
